Rare Disease Day Pécs 2026

The Institute of Medical Genetics of the Clinical Center at the University of Pécs and the Pécsi Éltes EGYMI are pleased to announce the "Rare Disease Day" event, which will be held again in Pécs on Saturday, February 28, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM.
Opening remarks will be delivered by:
Prof. Dr. Attila Miseta, Rector of the University of Pécs
Dr. Andor Sebestyén, President of the Clinical Centre of the University of Pécs
Prof. Dr. Tamás Tényi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pécs
Beáta Székely, Director General of the Pécs Éltes EGYMI
Judit Becskeházi-Tar, RIROSZ
Mónika Varga, Mayoral Advisor, City of Pécs
Prof. Dr. Béla Melegh, Institute of Medical Genetics, Clinical Centre, University of Pécs
Dr. Kinga Hadzsiev, Director of the Institute of Medical Genetics, Clinical Centre, University of Pécs
The professional and family event will take place at the E78 Event Hall of the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter (7626 Pécs, Major u. 21).
Throughout the event, visitors will find information booths, counseling, playhouses, a fair, and developmental games.
All programs are open to the public free of charge.
