First “Outstanding TDK Supervisor” Awards Presented at the Medical School of the University of Pécs

On 26 May 2026, the Undergraduate Research Society Council of the Medical School of the University of Pécs (PTE ÁOK TDT) held a ceremonial award event during which the “Outstanding TDK Supervisor 2026” awards were presented for the first time, alongside the 2026 TDK Scholarships.

The aim of the event was to recognize the work of those educators and researchers who play an outstanding role in supporting student scientific activities and fostering the next generation of researchers and physicians. The awardees were selected based on their achievements during the 2025/2026 academic year, taking into account TDK supervision activities, students’ conference results, reviewer contributions, and involvement in the Dean’s Scientific Thesis Program. Out of 265 active supervisors, the 30 most successful mentors received recognition.

During the ceremony, the 2026 TDK Scholarships were also awarded to 22 students in recognition of their outstanding scientific achievements.

The event was held in a celebratory yet warm atmosphere and once again highlighted the importance of the Undergraduate Research Society as one of the key pillars of talent development at the Medical School, where students and supervisors work together to shape the future generation of physicians and scientists.
